I am prone to walk wherever I may,
To seek a path, a trail, a way,
Of moving both my body and mind,
For a while to leave modern life behind.
To travel slowly and to slow my thoughts.
To loosen worries become too taut.
To think more clearly, as I can,
With hopes of becoming a wiser man.
My paces even as I roam,
Further and further from my home.
Into a new, but familiar space.
The denser woods, a peaceful place.
And when finally emerging from dark to light,
I understand my want is sight.
